Artist
He was born in 1920 in Mazara del Vallo and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. In Rome in 1945 he made his debut in a group show at the Galleria Il Cortile. In 1954 he presented his "Colloqui" at the Venice Biennale where he will return to exhibit in numerous editions. Pietro Consagra then began to be invited to participate in the most important international exhibitions, among which Documenta Kassel in 1959 and 1964, and a show at the Solomon Guggenheim Museum, New York in 1962.
