Artist
He was born in Ferrara in 1896 and in 1914 he enrolled in the Faculty of Letters in Bologna. In 1916 he met the de Chirico brothers and met Carlo Carrà. In March 1925 he arrived in Paris, where he assiduously frequented the Louvre, attracted by Poussin, Delacroix, Manet and contemporary French painting.
