Italian sculptor and ceramist, Leoncillo was born in Spoleto in 1915. He moved to Rome at a young age, forming friendships with Ettore Colla, Renato Guttuso, Toti Scialoja and Giulio Turcato. He is one of the founders of the "Fronte Nuovo delle Arti" movement. He took part in the Venice Biennale in 1954, where he return assiduously until 1968, the year of his solo-show.
