The exhibition project brings together works that share the theme of female beauty, interpreted through the different artistic languages of the twentieth century.
The exhibition features, among others, Yves Klein’s Vénus Bleue, Alberto Viani’sBusto femminile,Carlo Carrà’s Venere Anadiomene, and Mario Cavaglieri’s Giulietta con il Ventaglio, highlighting four distinct reinterpretations of the figure of Venus and the varied expressions of femininity.
The selection offers an opportunity to examine how the classical model is reinterpreted through material experimentation, plastic synthesis, and pictorial research. The dialogue between the works brings to light the relationship between tradition and modernity, idealisation and abstraction, revealing different conceptions of beauty. It thus offers a reflection on the evolution of the female image throughout the twentieth century, showing how the archetype of female beauty continues to serve as a point of reference for exploring the themes of harmony, form, and cultural identity.
