Galleria dello Scudo, in harmony with the exhibition line always aimed at modern and contemporary Italian art, presents a selection of artists chosen from among the most important exponents of abstract research of the second half of the 20th century: Carla Accardi, interpreter of the dialectical relationship between sign and color; Afro Basaldella, present in the great American collections of the second post-war period, of which the large canvas belonging to Stanley J. Seeger Jr. of Princeton is now proposed; Alberto Burri, who with the * Combustioni “, 1” Cretti “and” Cellotex “reconfirms himself as the author of absolute uniqueness in the international artistic panorama; Giuseppe Capogrossi, with a rare monochrome relief from the 1960s, Toti Scialoja, one of the most strictly Italians in dialogue with the American context, Emilio Vedova, always characterized by the extraordinary expressive power of the gesture.
