On the occasion of the 27th edition of Miart, Galleria dello Scudo presents in the Section Decades a focus dedicated to the works of Carla Accardi and Pietro Consagra created in the 1980s.

Common traits such as the sweetness of the forms and the elegance of the gesture precisely characterize these works. Three monumental canvases by Accardi, two of which exhibited in the personal room in the Italian Pavilion at the XLIII Venice Biennale in 1988, interact with Bifrontale bianco Macedonia and Bifrontale nero del Belgio by Consagra, sculptures with a dynamic composition thanks to the skilful combination of the color of the material and the drawing in the stone.

As evidence of the continuity in Accardi’s research into signs, are presented Fondo Giallo and Assedio Verderosso created in the 1950s.
