The May issue of “Il Giornale dell’Arte”, which celebrates forty years of the magazine founded in 1983 by Umberto Allemandi, shines the spotlight on the aesthetics and artistic practice of Arcangelo Sassolino, explored and in-depth examined in the pages of a special editorial entirely dedicated to him.

Focus On: Arcangelo Sassolino is published in Italy with “Il Giornale dell’Arte” and, simultaneously, in English with the May issue of “The Art Newspaper”. The project stems from the collaboration of “Il Giornale dell’Arte” with Galleria dello Scudo, which thus confirms its support for the artist.

Seven authoritative voices of the contemporary art sector – Andrea Bellini, Director of the Center d’Art Contemporain in Geneva; Francesco Manacorda, independent curator; Marc-Olivier Wahler, director of the MAH in Geneva; Chiara Parisi, director of the Center Pompidou-Metz in Paris; Eugenio Viola, chief curator of MAMBO in Bogotá; Maria Cristina Terzaghi, professor of modern art history at the “Roma Tre” University; Sergio Ferraris, director of the QualEnergia magazine and of the Nextville portal – explore the language, the network of relationships and the scientific and ecological components of Arcangelo Sassolino’s work, creating an all-round portrait of one of the most significant artists of our time.

Focus On: Arcangelo Sassolino was created also thanks to the work of Paola C. Manfredi – PCM Studio, Studio Arcangelo Sassolino and Jenny Dogliani in the editorial staff of “Il Giornale dell’Arte”.
