13-16 June 2024
According to its exhibition policy focused on modern and contemporary Italian art, Galleria dello Scudo proposes a selection of artists chosen from among the main exponents of the historic avant-gardes and abstract art from the second half of the 20th century.
From a rare futurist composition by Gino Severini painted in 1915 to a Still life by Giorgio Morandi displayed in all the most important exhibitions dedicated to the artist; from the abstract sculpture by Leoncillo, always attentive to the chromatic value of the material, to the expressive power of Vedova’s painting, the display offers an overview on the most internationally renowned Italian authors. Furthermore, particular attention is paid to the works by Edmondo Bacci who, since the 1950s, had in Peggy Guggenheim one of his most impassioned supporters.
