In line with its exhibition policy focused on modern and contemporary Italian art, Galleria dello Scudo proposes at Art Basel a selection of artists chosen from amongst the main exponents of the historic avant-gardes and abstract art of the second half of the 20th century. From a singularly refined futurist painting by Giacomo Balla, to the studies on the sign peculiar to Giuseppe Capogrossi and Carla Accardi, from the abstract sculpture by Leoncillo, always attentive to the chromatic value of the material, to the expressive power of the Vedova’s painting, the exhibition proposal offers an overview on the most internationally established Italian authors, in which particular attention is also paid to works by Lucio Fontana and Giorgio Morandi.
