Nobu – the large canvas by Giovanni Frangi from 2001 – opens the exhibition of a series of paintings by the artist inspired by the cycle Nobu at Elba, shown at Villa Litta, Biumo Superiore, in 2004. The thick of trees in a wood, just lightened by the moonlit, is the theme of the series of works characterized by the wide use of dark backgrounds interrupted by long brush strokes, like brightly colored glows shining in the heart of the night.
