From 1920 onwards, Gino Severini follows his engagement in drawing, creating sketches for human figures or still-lifes which show suggestions and ideas already ripening during his stay in Paris. Other subjects such as doves, fruits, musical instruments merge in an inexhaustible series of solutions revealing that feature of supreme elegance and harmony present in his contemporary paintings, to which many works on paper are linked.
