01.04.2006 — 24.06.2006
Drawings, sketches, documents and photographs by Claudio Abate accompany the visitor to discover a cornerstone of Eliseo Mattiacci’s work: Carro solare di Montefeltro, the first work made around the mid 1980s in which the artist seems to encode thought-out forms to capture and decipher signals from the universe. The exhibition path aims at establishing a comparison with the artist’s past works, to demonstrate how since the 1960s Mattiacci had already elaborated ideas that later would flow into the creation of this gigantic sculpture, exhibited in 1988 in his personal room at the Venice Biennale.
