16.09.2011 — 29.10.2011
Giuseppe Penone – Rovesciare i propri occhi (1970) as well as the shots witnessing Eliseo Mattiacci’s actions and interventions, are some photographic works chosen to pay homage to Claudio Abate, one of the greatest interpreters of twentieth-century photography. A friend of artists and intellectuals, Abate had the merit of setting events and protagonists of Italian art and culture of the 1960s and 1970s into frames that have become memorable, continuing to be also later an excellent witness and interpreter.
