Born in Athens in 1891, brother of the painter Giorgio de Chirico; in 1903 he graduated in piano and composition at the conservatory of his hometown. In 1909 Alberto Savinio was in Milan and here he began to devote himself to painting and drawing; he moved to Paris in 1910 and began to associate with the intellectuals who gravitated around the figure of Guillaume Apollinaire.
